Has Sprint lost their ONLY competitive edge in the BlackBerry market? The answer is seemingly... yes. How? HipVoice.
HipVoice is a relatively new service being offered for a mere $10 a month that offers it's users the ability to Push-To-Talk on any smart phone on any network at any time. So, what else makes it great? Well, all the voice conversations are saved on your device for instant playback, works on EDGE, 3G, and WiFi connections seamlessly, and works in real-time. I had the opportunity to test the app for a week on my Curve and Storm and both worked incredibly well.
The user-interface is not the prettiest, but the overall application is an amazing work of modern smart phone development. Is it for you? Would it be good for your company? Can it keep you in touch with your family at an amazing rate? Give it a shot with their free 7 day trial. You can find them HERE!
What is the future of this? Who knows, but I would love to see this available with the major wireless providers as an add-on very soon.
